I screwed up and scheduled a trip back to Cincinnati while there were no Xavier games, no mens, no womens. crap!

I will however be sending my karma to the ladies over the next couple weeks during a crucial pre Big East stretch for them.

First it's Wright State in Dayton Sunday, facing off against former XU assistant Mike Bradbury AND one of our favorites, their administrative assistant, Special Jennings. The Raiders are 7-3. Losses to l\Louisville, Middle Tennesee and Memphis. This is a good team.

Next up the Ladies Crosstown Classic, UC at Cintas. Bearcats are 4-4 with wins over Kent State, Charlotte, Youngstown State and Morehead State. Not sure if UC is any good this year or not. Would be nice to have more XU fans there than bearcat fans.

and then there's Indiana, another Big Ten Team. At Cintas a real good chance for XU fans to show their musketeer pride. Hoosiers are 10-0 and while they've not played any team in the top 20, beating teams like Indiana State, Butler St Louis and Virginia Tech shows they have earned the perfect record.

Hope springs eternal, this is a quality XU team, and these young ladies are exciting to watch.

The team has been Jekyll and Hyde this year; they have wins at Michigan and Kansas during the Paradise Jam, yet they're 0-2 against teams from the MAC (none of which are likely NCAA bound). They should be able to beat UC, although pulling off another win would be a good momentum builder for Big East play.

Side note: UC freshman Bianca Quisenberry's dad was my high school coach. A lot of people thought she was undersized coming out of high school so it prevented her from getting bigger looks, but there is no one that is going to play harder or be tougher than her (I know, cliché). She was AAC rookie of the week last week, averaging 14 pts, 11 rebs, 7.5 assists.

I don't know about Central Michigan. They recently knocked off Dayton by dropping 14 3-pointers on them. I'm thinking they could win the MAC. They've played a brutal schedule.

Don't forget about the home loss to Longwood. Awful.
