Coach Chris Mack said he doesn't foresee Erik Stenger playing for the next 2-3 weeks b/c of an aggravated stomach. #Xavier

I must say that I have heard of an "irritated" stomach, but not an aggravated stomach. Must be a killer flu season.

I wonder if it's a muscle issue as opposed to an illness.

Only reason I say that is I saw him out in Mt. Adams a night during the Atlantis trip. Call me crazy, but I doubt a guy with a stomach illness that'd keep him out roughly a month would be out drinking.

Is he being separated from the rest of the team due to his "illness"? Contagious disease? Just wondering; no insider info.

I made the same assumptiom over at MM. Month long illness, not traveling with the team, no timetable on return. Sounds like mono to me.

I've heard Mono as well.

Throw a hazmat suit on him and get him out there. Could really use him considering our bigs average damn near 10 fouls a piece per 40 minutes.

Shame. I realize he's not the most important player on the team but they looked awful in Atlantis without him. Was it all just coincidence? He brings so much energy to the floor and that was an area in which the Muskies were sorely lacking in Atlantis. Hope he gets better from whatever it is he's suffering from soon.

His intensity can't be replaced. It was sorely missed in Atlantis.

I think we're going to miss him and Landon in the Shootout.

Other than being 5 fouls I think he'd be more equipped to play with their smaller, faster bigs than say Philmore or even Stainbrook.

You've still got Reynolds and Farr, but those two like to foul.

I'm not saying Stenger would play 30 minutes, but he'd be there to play matchups and give Philmore or Stain a break if UC is going to press.

The loss of Amos is pretty obvious as I'm not sure any of our guards will be able to stay with Kilpatrick.

When it rains it pours.

Landon is expected to be back by Crosstown, at least that's what he's tweeted.

I have faith in Semaj and Randolph (although he may be a little undersized) on Kilpatrick but I definitely think that is a game where Landon could be a help.

If Randolph is guarding him for more than little spurts here and there we'll be in trouble.

As for Amosit would be nice if he were back, but even if he is I can't see him being anywhere close to playing shape.

Out two to three weeks because of an aggravated stomach??

He must have swallowed an entire thorn bush.

Not saying he has mono because I have no idea, but I think generally you are limited in what you can do when you have it due to an enlarged spleen. There's a risk of rupture.

Well, it's not Crohns. That I can confirm.

Get better Stenger.

My first thought was GERD, which, if severe, can take a toll on you and a while to recover...for something that seems so simple.

Pre-ulcerous lesion? Swallowed too much gum and needs time for it to pass? Didn't realize the toy in a Happy Meal isn't edible?

Any more completely unfounded explanations? This is fun!

Was he drinking alcoholic beverage? Maybe he has a problem that does not necessitate he be quarantined and he was just out seeing friends.

He was out drinking with friends, forgot where he put his passport and doesn't like boats, and got an ulser thinking about how much Mack was going to be ticked off which put him in the hospital.
