There is no way you can sugar coat the last two days. Is the season over,no, but this team needs to take stock of themselves in a hurry. If the Iowa loss bothered them that much I think that is cause for concern, X is usually mentally tough. I'm no coach but I have no idea what you do with Philmore, Martin, and Dee. I'm sure their good kids and try hard but they are so inconsistent you don't know what you are going to get from one play to the next that has to drive Chris crazy. I know that Dee would be my fourth option at the guard spot. Don't know if the new rules helped Semaj this week or not, blue glasses aside I thought he got bumped and hacked a lot with no calls, certainly didn't cause us wins or losses though. I've been a Mack fan since day one, still am, I believe he can turn this around. He pulled 17 wins out of last years group hoping he can get this ship righted. Plenty of practice time this week. My tickets are paid for so I'll go support this group and hope for a turnaround

No.

I'm pissed. But hopefully this team wakes up and turns this season around. If I were on the team (we'd REALLY suck) I'd want to light the nets on fire in a blowout against BG. I guess we'll know what these guys are made of in the next two weeks.

First "the game" was close, for Michigan it will be a game that won't happen inevitably when tOSU has to vacate it and urban cryer misses his family again when arrests pile up faster than wins.

For Xavier? Wow they are in trouble. Gut check games against UC and wake are now must wins. We look like the 9th best big east team right now.

The year with Crawford, Xavier killed pressing teams. Other than that, no.

I think the Iowa loss was really deflating. X was the better team imo, but the officiating in the early part of the 2nd half was extremely questionable. X still had a chance to win the game, but no one stepped up. Double whammy to the confidence.

This team has (hopefully) learned you either sack up or you get run over.

Home wins don't mean much when it comes to learning how to compete with good teams in a difficult environment, or even bad teams in a difficult environment.

X is 37-29 since the brawl. Those are very mediocre results for a program that was starting to become a National Powerhouse. I really hope Mack can get this program rolling again but losing 29 times in the last 2 years sucks.

So, we've gone from being the #8 team in the country to 37-29. In the five years since the 2008 E8 team, our win total has gone down and RPI up each year. I was hoping that streak would stop this year.

It will.

That's interesting stat. I hadn't realized this at all. Make one think a bit.

Makes me appreciate what Tu especially and also Mark gave to the program in terms of big plays that won big games that sent us to the NCAA during years when if those same shots don't fall we get left out. I'm glad we got into the Big East when we did.

Another quick reaction I have is that we are still recovering from the departure of Sean Miller and the struggles with recruiting in the two years afterward and the departure of Dez, as our competition was improving, in the A10 and now in the Big East.

If this team can play themselves into the middle of the Big East, it will be a great accomplishment for the players and coaches.

The problem is that this isn't the old big east...middle of the pack in this conference is not an accomplishment

It's not the old big east but it's still ranked 3rd in the RPI and that's with traditional great team not playing that well. Wait till X and GTown and Marquette start to win again, this conf will be consistently ranked in the top 4 just because we have no bottom dwellers. The A-10 is ranked 5th but they have like 7 teams that have rpi's in the 150 or worse. Xavier right now is dragging down the conference and we know that won't be for long.
