We had season tickets for NBA games when I was a kid. When we left the arena they were selling "morning" papers, but it was well before midnight and there was nothing new in it. People still bought them. You had to wait until the actual morning to read about what you just saw. No blogs, no twitter, but at least we didn't have a horse pulling us home.

Lots...he is know around the NBA as one bad dude...you don't mess with a Pacer, unless you want D West in your grill.
Have tics. to Pacers Clips Sat....hope to see DW hand B Griffin( most over rated no talent in the NBA) his ass. I know Hibbert isn't gonna let Griffin put on a dunk show. Look for Griff to spend some time on the floor, as in flat on the floor.

Speaking of David West.. Going up to Indy with some buddies this weekend to see the Pacers and the Clippers for a little weekend getaway.

Anyone have any idea about the ticket situation up there? I'm generally pretty good at scalping and wheeling my way into games, but don't have any real NBA experience doing this- just Reds and Bengals.

Dontt know if it's a sellout.....but people are always selling tics in front of the arena....not very easy to get cheap good seats now that Indy is good again.

D. West was in the Bay Area last night for Indiana's game versus Golden State. He was nice enough to agree to make time to attend a Xavier alumni function prior to the game. My son who lives in SF was there and sent a really cool picture of D. West with the group who was holding a nice, big X banner. For the record, J. Crawford was not there, but in his defense, having just been traded not sure how that would have worked out on such short notice.

Versus the Heat in a game with big implications for homecourt advantage, David West received the inbound pass with the shot clock down to 6 seconds and 50 seconds left in the game, the Pacers up 1. He pulled up and nailed his fourth three of the season in what proved to be the game-winning field goal.

Awesome game. The atmosphere was incredible for a regular season NBA game. Born Ready's second T was turrrble. He glares at Wade and says, "What?" Wade grins, flares his arms in the air, and gets the T called. West's 3 was amazing. Ridiculous that it wasn't shown as a highlight when ESPN was transitioning to the next game. I'm going with ESPN Big East bias against an X guy. Hehe.

p.s. I haven't watched a lot of NBA games this year....but I felt like I was watching a soccer match. Every player on both teams goes down like they got shot at the slightest bit of contact. It was obnoxious. This does not include Hibbert getting clocked by James' elbow.

This. It doesn't get much better than that game last night. I have the NBA league pass and watch a fair amount of NBA games. Last night's game definitely had a playoff feel.
