1. I'd like to see more Randolph and Myles Davis. If Dee can't create shots or run the offense and not turn the ball over then why is he playing 30 minutes a game? Not sure I get it.
2. Is it me, or is Philmore extremely limited on the defensive end? He got schooled repeatedly today. Simply not enough size and athleticism to play with UT guys today.
3. FT's are going to be an issue all year. This team simply doesn't have enough good shooters.
4. Semaj sitting on the bench for the last 5 minutes was who's idea? The guys on the floor, particularly Dee Davis weren't playing any better...that's for sure. If it was b/c of the cramping issue and wanting to rest him for tomorrow, I guess I sort of get it.
5. Bad loss today. D was horrible the first half and offensively, we didn't create very many good looks. It was back to the dribble, hold onto the ball, dribble, hold onto the ball and then.........chuck up a bad shot. Where was the movement and motion and getting guys in the right spots.
6. UT was way more athletic IMHO. There's some talent on that team and I can see why some have them projected to finish near the top of the SEC.
7. Lastly, I'm sticking with hoping this team can win 20 games. It's going to be tough with the group of guys they have. Really need the young guys to start developing and assuming more minutes.

8. James Farr needs more PT. He has the 2nd highest 3pt% on the team, rebounds and is extremely athletic.

Bleed and Brew,
I would love to have seen 8-0 comng back from the Bahamas! I would love to have seen 8-0 and happy at 7-1. But I would be delighted at 6-2 coming back home after watching what Villanova did to Kansas in spite of having to play 5 v. 8 every possession and having watched the performances of Xavier in similar circumstances Friday. Saturday held hope but deep inside I expected it. I'll have more to say later but this much I know. The future of Xavier basketball in the Big East--and by no means a dminished BE--is not only bright, it's blindingly exciting.

Dee Davis has been atrocious in this tournament. He is simply overmatched. He was partially to blame for the Iowa loss with his 5 TO's. (I swear it was more). Hopefully, X can right the ship this afternoon.

I'm reserving comment until after today.

Good move. This is a very young team and it's going to take time to jell as a unit. One bad loss does not end a season.

LESS DEE DAVIS. More anybody else. Dee Davis should see a maximum of 10 minutes a game.

If USC and Ohio State win today, someone needs to keep a 24-hour watch on Gladden.

Looking at the box score, some of the guys need to have better understanding of what their roles are. Philmore with 1 rebound yesterday in 20+ minutes is not getting it done. Semaj with 1 assist. How does Reynolds play 10 minutes and not grab a rebound? I think you look at yesterday and chalk it up as a total whiff of a game on all fronts. The only positives were maybe Farr, Randolph and Miles play. Guys have to understand their roles and what they need to do individually to help this team win. I expect a much better showing today......time to get a W and come back to Cincy to regroup.

Davis seems like a really tough player who works hard and cares about the team. But he is a backup PG (especially in the Big East). In the past 3-4 years recruiting has lagged a bit. There are gaps.

I agree Dee is a backup, he will less and less time as the season moves one.
