Damn,,,,,, fell short of a great comeback, down 11 at the half, lost 67-64.
back to the drawing board.

stats show the Musketeers shooting not so hit in the first half, but it appears the rebounding and FT shooting was the achilles heal. Longwood has some size. XU 15-28 from the line.

It was my fault - I couldn't make it until midway through the second half and they were down 12 by the time I got there (looking at the play-by-play it shows they were down by as many as 20). It impressive that they were able to take the lead on a fast-break layup by Crittenden with under a minute to go, but Longwood answered with a 3-pointer right away and Schaefer missed two free throws that could have tied it. They missed too many free throws (15-28 for the game, 10-20 in the second half) and gave up too many offensive rebounds (15) for the comeback to stick.
After their first loss they came back to beat Michigan in the next game. After this loss, they play #2 Duke at the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.
