I have noticed a number of folks cannot tell what channel numbers Fox 1 and Fox 2
are on their systems.
All they need to do is go to www.goxavier.com, click on "basketball"under the "sports"
heading and halfway down the page is a Box in bright colrs that say FOX 1 and FOX 2.
By clicking on either box, they will have a "enter your zip code" and "enter you system."
That will give them the appropriate Channel Numbers for their systems.
Easy, eh?

I didn't think I was getting FS2, and this helped me find out that I actually do. Reps!

Mine is still wrong- has been ever since they posted that thing. I have Cincinnati Bell FiOptics. It says 58/506. It is really 25/525 (SD/HD - no FS2). I wonder if they'll ever fix that.

Yeah mine was 1 channel off, but there was a notice that the channel had been moved.

I was in Chicago on business (Schaumburg, really) during the Tennessee game and couldn't find FS1 anywhere. Major fail. Fortunately I had my wife DVR the game at home.
FS1 has a long way to go...

Someone recently told me that FS2 is moving for DirecTV into the 200 range from the 600 range where it now resides, but I haven't heard or seen anything else about that. Anyone else heard anything?

Here in the outpost of civilization, Fox Sports 2 is part of a premium sports package group (unlike Fox Sports 1).
I checked the schedule at GoXavier, and this is the only game that will be on #2. So it looks like the radio for one game.

It'll be huge for Fox Sports if they can get their two main sports networks next to each other. It's odd that it's 219 for 1 and 618 for 2. Gotta think it'll help their ratings some, even if it still mostly shows their speed network crap.

On Uverse FS1 and FS2 are right next to each other in reverse order.
FS2HD is Channel 1651 and FS1HD is Channel 1652. I don't mess with non HD, unless there is something on Fox College Sports that I want to see.
Gawd, I love Uverse!
By the way on Concast Xfinity. Fox Sports 2 used to be Fuel TV- Channel 111 which was on the XFinity Sports Pack but was supposedly moved to the "Digital Preferred" Tier. I don't get Comcast in my area, so I can't verify, but that is what was indicated.
Here is your alternative, though. Download the "Fox Sports Go" app for your devices. It has all events live from FS1 and FS2 in crystal clear HD. You can watch the game on PC, tablet or smartphone. The game shows up on their menu for today.

Definitely. Comcast doesn't offer Fox Sports 2 (at least here in Richmond), but if they did, there would have to be some reshuffling to put the two networks next to each other. Currently FS1 is channel 3 and ESPN/2 is channel 4/5.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that on TWC FS2 is part of the premium sports tier.
Also, if the channel placement is correct they only have the standard definition channel available (I don't know that for a fact because i dont have the digital tier, but the channel is in the 300's which is the SD channels. All the corresponding HD channels are in the 1300's and there is not FS2 in the 1300s).

Well Direct TV started FXX at 619 and recently moved it to 259, not next to FX but a lot closer and at least clumped with similar stations. I wouldn't be surprised if FS2 moved down to the main sport section 206-221.

That app only works if you have one of the relatively few (at this time, anyways) providers that has signed up with Fox Sports Go. TWC, DirecTV, and Fioptics are all not available.

Only certain cable providers provide access to fox sports go and it looks like they are the providers who already have FS2 available.
For example, time warner cable subscribers don't get access to fox sports go.
Also, it is only available on apple devices, not android. (http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsportsgo/)

Well, I sure wish you had told me before I spent 20 minutes following MOR's suggestion, went to the IStore, downloaded the ITunes gizmo for my Windows computer, went through the installation, went back out and got App, and THEN discovered that my backwoods Charter TV service is not one of the providers of FS2 through any damn app anywhere. Ugh.

Not your fault. Cheap A## cable company here. Actually, I looked at the ones you do get provide it, and only recognized UVerse. Never even heard of the other companies.

Yep. Further illustrates the uphill battle Fox faces in terms of creating a legit challenger for ESPN.

UVerse isn't an option in the Cincinnati market - that's one problem.

not sure how long this foxsports network is going to last, having heard the quality of the next tier of announcers (the XU/Morhead team was just awful) and I was looking at some of the programming on the 2.
Premier League Darts.
Really, Darts. That can't get any kind of ratings,,,, friggin darts!

Really. Wayne Larrivee is a big time announcer. I've always enjoyed the way he calls a game.

Even Bob Wenzel is a former CBS/Mothership regular. Larrivee usually does Big 10 games after football season.
I wonder if Tom Hamilton (a former PxP man for Xavier) will get any assignments this season.

Yep. Larrivee is a long time experienced guy and Wentzel was last seen on ESPN.
Look, if you want guys who are all Xavier listen to Joe and By. I've had no problem with the guys FS1 & FS2 have. Hell, they're better than guys like Len Elmore who have a big school bias and a pbp guy like John Sciambi .

I don't think second-tier announcing teams get much better than that (that's in part praise, in part faint praise). How quickly people forget the second-tier teams we've experienced from ESPN (or the jackasses they put up on their first-tier teams sometimes).
I thought these guys did fine. They got excited at the right times, they made some good points about the teams, had some funny themes going (Semaj, #1 at layups in the nation!), and gave out worthy praise to players. They missed on some info and forgot things like the fact that James Farr DID play in the first half, but once again, I don't have that high of expectations from a second-tier crew. And really, even good announcers can make that kind of mistake (Farr only played a couple minutes in the first half, so he was easy to forget for a non-fan).
