Good stuff on Semaj, but most we know already.

Quote with something that I did not remember.

"While his freshman season was one for the record books, Semaj is only going to get better. Xavier is known for developing talent. Despite only sporting one McDonald’s All American, the school has produced 17 NBA players over the last 20 years."

I like reading articles like that - even if they only rehash things we knew - because I know that someone who has never heard of Semaj is probably reading it at the same time.

Second that...every time one of these national magazines runs articles on X and our players, it only gives those who learn only from local press/ESPN how soon something special is coming out of Cincinnati, and it's gonna be glorious.

I don't think he'll replace LeBron or Kyrie, but Semaj is damn good, and it's awesome that he's getting some recognition for being so damn awesome. He could honestly be Big East player of the year this year, absolute stud.

Probably not. If McDermott continues to average 30 points per game, it will be tough for Semaj to claim any such conference award.

It will be intriguing to see Creighton visit St. Joe's tomorrow. Oh, who am I kidding? St. Joe's will lose.

Damn, I forgot about McDermott.. I don't think he'll keep it around 30, but I do think he'll average around 25 or so. Well.. 1st Team All Big East hahaha.

The thing with McDermott is that he's averaging around 28ppg, but this is against some lighter competition where he's only been needed for about 25 minutes per game. So there's even a chance his scoring average could go up.

For to Semaj to go pro next year (and yes I know they look at potential) it would be so great to see him display the point guard skills that assumedly will be what he does at the next level.

If he could maintain his scoring average from last year, or even if it went down a point or two, while having a full team around him to distribute to and set up...that would be fantastic. And should lead to a lot more W's.
