Starting at 6:30, est tonight, there will be basketball on for thirty-and-a-half straight hours. The marathon is only officially 24hrs, but other games on other channels will run for longer.
I encourage everyone to please pace themselves.....

What if you're not weak of mind or body...like this guy or Jonathan Martin?

Then you should be fine.

I don't understand this event.
When they first said they were going to do it, I thought it was a stupid idea and that there was no way anyone would watch it.
It has turned out to be a roaring success, and the ratings are big. I don't know how or why. For a while I thought it was because people were watching while they were at work, but as it turns out those don't even compute into the ratings.
Do people actually take the day off to stay home and watch LSU v UMass?? Or wake up before dawn to watch New Mexico State at Hawaii??
I don't get it, but I guess it works.

I was offered a ticket to the WKU vs WSU game at Charles Koch Arena tonight at midnight local time (complete with Final Four banner unfurling). Unfortunately, I have to get on a plane at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and I thought it would be a bad idea to just stay up all night (I guess I AM weak of mind and body).

I used to work somewhere that would let me work from home a couple days a week. When this rolled around, I would work from home and have basketball on all day. It's great. If I had to take a day off work to watch these usually mediocre matchups, nope, wouldn't happen. It also added excitement to the workday when you had a buck or 2 riding on each game!

At least we'll get to see Florida Gulf Coast's gym and Gola's garage on national TV.

Which one's better?
Gotta be FGC. Can't get much worse than a ghetto garage in Philly. (Ergo Rose Hill?)

Here is a guide to all of the games.

I don't get this deal. I am an X fan, I watched their game with Butler last year and that was it. I don't usually watch random games until the tournament.

I used to watch any basketball I could (when I was in college and law school). As I get older, all I have time for is X related basketball.

I would watch them all if I had the Vacation time to burn. I love College BBall almost as much as I love X (which is a statement in itself). I spend the Summer missing College Hoops, so this is the perfect start to the season!

At least we get treated to a Sim Bhullar sighting for the NM State-Hawaii matchup.

Yeah. Sim is BIG. Got a double-double but can't shoot free throws.

Bobby Thuggs goes down in Blacksburg. He's not getting any skinnier.
The guy is burned out. It's over. He was lucky as hell to have Belein's players to coach a few years ago. Now with his own recruits, WVA sucks.
Won't be long until that Mountaineer will be shooting at BeelzeBob.

It just really never did occur to West Virginia how stupid moving to the Big Twelve was. Everyone else knew it, but they didn't. Glad it's working out for them the way that it is.
Virginia Tech is very very very bad.

SEC WENT 2-5 tonight, but they played some tough road games. I think it makes them better.

Bobby Thuggs....He's not getting any skinnier.
He just keeps getting fatter and fatter. The dude looks very unhealthy and it is more obvious each time I see him why he gave up on wearing suits and ties.
Tonight he looked pale, fat, stressed out, apathetic and just plain bad. If I were a betting man, I'd drop a C-note on Thuggins in a death pool.
I don't know too many other coaches that look as unhealthy as he does right now.
