He'll need to show he can be more of a ball handler if he wants to play at the next level, so good luck to him. He'll never be a true point guard but it would be huge for him if he can show he can bring the ball up and get the offense going in a respectable manner.

PG has been a real issue that last few years for MD, either due to injury, transfers, or lack of talent. There were at times last year because of injuries that Dez basically was handling the PG duties, so this isn't something that has come out of the blue for MD and Dez. He has shown to be one of their better guys with the basketball in his hand coming up court.

The more Dez has the ball, the more plays he can make for the team. This is a good strategy for Maryland.
