St. John's coach Steve Lavin says the conference will have 7 teams vying for 5 or 6 tourney bids.

They also misspelled Musketeers as Muskateers. Really?

They spelled Musketeers wrong and our MM highlight clip included a mess of perimeter passing and a missed layup.

And it was right when Rafferty was talking about how we can't pass.

Screw this conference.

Yeah. Time to go back to the MCC.

First ever graphic in a basketball show on FS1 of Xavier and they throw out a giant MUSKATEERS.

I can't overstate how disappointed it made me actually. FS1 wants to be the go to site for college basketball and on their first show they make a massive rookie mistake. Ugh.

The bottom line will be that the teams in this league will have to earn their respect from the outside, all the while pocketing $5 million a year from Fox.

The Big Network, Fox, may need to get a bit involved here by eventually putting some Big East games on. It will happen eventually I believe.

To me, this is a MUST. I wonder how much the relationship with ABC and ESPN improved ESPN. Sure, I'm not expecting Butler v. DePaul to be aired on local Fox, but XU v. Gtown, MU v. Nova, especially if both teams are ranked and something is on the line in February. What else is FOX going to air on a Saturday in February? Fox has already invested alot in the Big East so far, so why not invest a little more to get the most out of it. As someone who does not have cable or dish, I hope this happens eventually.

Fox would be clear between the end of the no fun league season and the Daytona 500 time trials.

How are you going to watch Xavier play?

BW3's with a fellow alum occasionally and radio. With living in a 2 bed condo, a toddler and 60k in law school debt, had to make cuts. If you or someone you know needs help getting out of any kind of debt, definitely recommend Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Program.
Outside of Xavier games, I really don't miss anything else with cable. Instead, I find myself reading more or watching various PBS programs which are better than I thought.

Kudos to your efforts. I took the class at our church and really enjoyed it.

Are you at least online so you can pick up the games on I-Heart radio?

I also highly recommend Financial Peace. I had an employer who thought they were going to go out of business, (They didn't, Thanks be to God!) and that employer really wanted to do right by its staff so they had all kinds of programs to prepare you financially, mentally, and professionally for if that day came.

I took advantage of FPU, didn't really think I needed it, but nobody really showed me the ropes as it were financially. Sure, the first part of the course covers getting out of debt, living within your means, and budgeting. But let's say you are one of the fortunate who are beyond that, it also gives you a nice primer course for understanding the basics of how investments work, how insurance works (or doesn't), how to handle the student loan, retirement planning, buying that house. And he does it in a way that's funny and easy to understand. As Dave Ramsey himself will tell you, nothing he teaches is a state secret, most of it you already know, you just need to hear it from an expert. 20% Academic, 80% emotion.

yea, I use IHeart radio and hopefully, unlike last year, will get a few games on CBS via NCAA tourney, maybe the usual 2 weeks of that (who knows).

Agree. My daughter is only 19 months old and I fully intend to teach her some of this at an early age so she does not do the same things like me. ie being in ones early 20's paying for cable with HBO and thinking they are managing their money well only because the credit card gets paid off at the end of the month.

I don't think Dave Ramsey approves of my gambling habit. So he can go f*&k himself.

That goes on the "blow money" line of your FPU budget sheet. And no, I get the distinct feeling he doesn't approve of using money on vices.

We are going to have to get used to being a lower class citizen until we prove a few things to some people. We are going to be the east coast schools little brother for a year. It will only take a year though to quickly make them realize their mistake in doubting this program. All will be well.
