I ran into Amy's parents out in Eastgate a few days ago. They reaffirmed Amy's lack of energy/desire to coach. Her plans for now are to sell her house (by Legendary Run if anyone is looking to buy) and move back to the Fort Wayne area to closer to her family.

A bizarre ending to Amy's tenure at X, but wish her all the best in her next endeavors.

couple days ago I talked to the parent of a player who Amy had run across in the recruiting process, he saw her in the fall, on the AAU circuit, he said he could tell she was not herself, looked very tired, lost alot of weight. Said that she was looking to talk a full year off, then decide what's next.

When you think about it, going from a couple years as assistant, to head coach in D-1, is a huge step. Very easy to get overwhelmed, especially with the energy level that she runs 24-7.

Wishing her the best, hope she can enjoy hoop season from an easy chair, get re-focused, and come back to the game renewed. Her knowledge, love of the game will be a help at whatever level she moves into. I for one would be proud to work for her, and would never have any hesitation in pointing a player towards a team she coached.

My only problem with this decision (not that it matters) is the timing. If she had been thinking about it then do it in the early summer. Timing was horrible for X.
