While this has no bearing on anything actually relating to sports, it was interesting reading some of the stories that go with various mascots for Catholic schools. And they turned it into a popularity contest to see who has the best mascot.

Mascots of note:

The 3rd seeded Blue Blob is currently edging out the Creighton Blue Jay, but only by 26 votes.
The Dayton Cryers are currently matched up against the Marquette Golden Eagles which would be a slaughter if not for the persistence of Cryers fans.
The Villanova Generic Mascot #2 (Wildcat) is beating out the Le Moyne Dolphin (a travesty if you ask me).
Surprisingly, the leading vote getter so far is the Fordham Rams (although this may be because they are facing off against the Red Storm)
