View Full Version : Do you wear your hat off kilter on purpose?

I spent the weekend in Oxford for a reunion event so I was, for the second time in six months, back in the college scene for a couple of days. Is it wrong for a married father of four to be lusting over innocent little co-eds probably fifteen years younger? I didn't think so. But I digress...

Everywhere we went I noticed two glaring fashion trends: The guys all wear their hats crooked and girls are wearing some kind of ballet shoes.

The hat thing is rather annoying. It's apparent that these guys actually spend time perfecting the angle at which to turn the hat so as to comply with the new fashion rules. Not only does it look ridiculous, but that has to feel so awkward and bothersome on their heads.

This is not new territory for Miami (or any college town, I guess.) When I was a student there from 89-93, we were fortunate enough to witness the Luke Perry sideburns and ugly-ass Birkenstock fads explode.

So, to any current students (or even graduates) - what's up with this? Do you wear your hat like this, and if so.......why?

I don't wear it crooked, but sometimes I won't have it pulled down over my forhead as much as normal.

The ballet flats the girls are wearing is a big trend. It makes it easier to walk after you have had a bit to drink, I don't have a chance to fall on my face in them as much as it would make everyone laugh:o
As for hats all you will see the hubby in is the backwards hat, he may be the only for class of 00 who you will see wearing it that way at Dana's

The girls can pretty much do whatever they want, coeds rock.
Guys: need to grow up and not do the hat thing so much.

I sometimes spend 45 min to an hour in the mirror perfecting the angle of my hat. It is very important to me that the bill is cocked at precisely the right angle, lest people think I am a douchebag.

In all seriousness though, guys who wear their hats crooked are tools.
