Tom Clancy was a Great American.

Jack Ryan is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. That man was a Patriot with a capital P.

Tom Clancy owned his own tank. He would have been a nice neighbor to have in the end of days! I would love to own a tank, but my wife is afraid that I would get drunk and invade Dayton, killing the men and sterilizing the women.

May God Bless Tom Clancy.

Tom Clancy always seemed like an interesting person with his personla back story. He was an insurance salesman up until his mid-thirties where he finally took the leap and followed his passion to become a prodigious and wildly successful writer.

Sadly, I've never read a Tom Clancy novel. The backlog seemed too daunting for me to start tackling and I always opted for other novels instead. In his honor, I have bought The Hunt for Red October and will read it at some point, I'm sure.

Also as suspenseful a movie as I've ever seen. Very well done.

The Sum of All Fears is one of the greatest books I've ever read. This man made every minute technical detail of a nuclear bomb exploding seem more action packed and suspenseful than 100 Hollywood car chases.

Rest in Peace.

As good as the Film is. It doesn't do the book justice.
