Born in Bavaria so I am biased but Barca has looked hot early. It's really too early to tell but I believe the normal contenders will advance. I think maybe Celtic might have it in them to advance to the ties and maybe Schalke 04 if they get their head out of the butt. Typo in the title Bally.

I recorded Man U and Bayern to watch when I get home.

I'm a Celtic fan and just don't see it happening this year. They sold the backbone of last year's team in Wanyama, Hooper, and the bit lesser know cb Kelvin Wilson. They just don't look to be nearly as strong and in a tougher group. I didn't expect them to finish second last year either though, so hopefully more surprises.

Group D looks tough.

Toughest group in my mind.

I think F is tougher. I don't see Bayern having much trouble winning their group. Maybe Moscow gives City a run but I don't think they have the guns. I think F is tougher only if Napoli stays hot early with Dortmund and Arsenal was playing well until all their injuries.

I think it sort of depends on the definition of "tough." For me, that is defined by difficulty of upper-tier teams advancing -- the competition for the 2nd slot. I think the toughest groups out of which to advance will be H, F and D (in that order).

Go Blues! I think Chelsea has a real good chance this year.

Way to lay that Basel egg early, Bayern did that last year to them I believe in the first round of ties.
