How about the dynamic duo of just a few years ago during Coach McGuff's final few years (Amber and Ta'shia --- I'm unsure of the spelling)? Are either or both of them so honored yet?

It seems most of the retired jerseys (men and women) have an unwritten rule where retired jerseys are reserved for 2,000-point scorers.

Having put a little more though into it. what about the members of the Elite 8 team?
Phillips, Levandusky, Piipari, Taru and Coach Waugh?? Not saying the entire team merits retirement,,,, but of the 5 I would say Taru and Amy would top the list.

Harris did score 2,000 points and Ta'Shia Phillips is right after her on the list (just under 1900). Although she didn't get 2,000 points, Phillips holds just about every rebounding record, including the top four rebounding seasons in school history and something like the top eight rebounding games.

As for the Elite 8 team, I'd almost say they should be retired/honored as one instead of individually - if such a thing can be done. That was the strength of that team- there was no one player you could key on to stop, any one of them could beat you. If they wanted to do it on a significant anniversary, they'd have to wait until 2015-16, however (15 years).
