Just got back. Spent some time with Doug Steiner at the new XU practice facility at Maketewah this morning. The facility is now fully functioning and absolutely gorgeous. He's got two extremely highly rated international recruits coming in because of it.

As to the basketball, not a whole lot in the commentary other than guys like Myles Davis and Jalen Reynolds were just chomping at the bit to get it going. Also that Matt Stainbrook will be a great addition basketball wise and Matt is pissed that he got one B in a sea of "A's" in his coursework last year. CMack was pretty reserved in the statements and did not take questions, but I think he is pleased with how the off-season unfolded as to the team's activities.

Not much to report. I get the impression that the staff just wants this team to make it's statements on the court.

Yessir, MOR. We shot a 64 and par was 71 on our course. I had a fun time. The Canton Barrister and the Hanging Judge rounded out the group nicely. Glad the Barrister asked me to pinch hit for you guys this year.

WCWIII got his first hole in one. Smart move getting a hole in one at a golf outing where drinks are included. I played in the morning and was -8.

Mack also said that musketeer madness will be televised on fs1. I believe it is October 25th.

Oh he also said Reynolds can touch the top of the backboard.

Getting ready for the season. Amy looks like she's getting ready with a young team (lost a freshman already with the ACL -- surgery was supposed to be today). Chris has gotten the team to go through some programs to build team unity and toughness. He spoke highly of last year's squad that, despite not making the tournament, showed a lot of character. He said we'll see lots of new faces this year and he spoke with lots of confidence.

And Vee, you were a superb addition this year. It was great to have you in the foursome. We had some nice MoJo working.

We bid on and won the Auction for the Pinehurst Golf weekend. We actually couldn't believe that we got that package for what we got it for. I really don't think that guys knew how fantastic that thing is. I can't wait to go down to Carolina in late October.
