I was up in the attic this weekend and came across some of my older Xavier memorabilia from my youth. Got me wondering what Xavier items you guys have buried in your attics and basements.

Post pictures of some of your oldest/favorite/rarest Xavier items along with a description and/or story. (I'll post mine later tonight)

My favorite is without a doubt the Crosstown shootout ball that I had Skip sign back when I used to go to the radio show all the time. I think it was when it was broadcast from the upstairs bar at the Montgomery Inn. Close second is the team ball I have with the entire team autographs from 03-04 that was a gift.

I'll grab pics if I remember, and dig out some other stuff from the man cave.

David West bobblehead from the Creighton game 12/31/02. Not necessarily rare or old, but it's completely fabulous.

My dad has a cushioned chair from the collection of chairs that used to make up the team benches at the Cincinnati Gardens. I consider that part of my collection as I gave it to him, and he will bequeath it to me at some point in my life...Lord willing.

A tiny Xavier football, gold I think, from my dad circa 1924. Smiles from Pete Gillen after Xavier won its first NCAA tournament game against Missouri in Indianapolis, and after he was installed in the Xavier athletic hall of fame. Smiles and handshakes.

I used to haves an awesome old school Xavier visor from the early 90s. It's the only thing I'd wear to games. In the 2008-09 season, I went back to Cincinnati and went to the Crosstown Shootout with Xeus. I wore it there that night, and then proceeded to go out and get hammered, and I lost it somewhere along the way. Never saw it again. I really miss that thing.

I have a basketball shaped transistor radio with X and WLW logos...it was a giveaway late 80s I think. Also have a ticket stub from Xaviers last home football game...a tie vs. the Flyers.

Somewhere in a box in the basement I have an old royal blue sweatshirt with the running man logo and a long sleeved white T-Shirt with Musketeers down one arm and the running man logo on the front with NIT 84 above it. Neither come close to fitting me 30 years later, but I couldn't part with them.

I am now determined to go find them.

My "letter jacket" that athletes got. It's in quotes because there isn't an actual letter, just name, league, and Xavier Musketeers. Is it worth more since it says A-10 on it? I only wear it once or twice a year, usually on big game days (and the day after the 2011 Shootout).

First you may need to explain to most posters here (i) XU played football and (ii) who Carroll Williams was [ lest he be confused with a local news reporter]; second how did you miss John Shinners ?

I think there's a guy here who has access to all the John Shinner's memorabilia and could still get you an autograph. But you might have to help out at the garage sale.

Does anyone remember the 1990(?) Official NCAA Tournament T-shirts sold at the Hoosierdome that had "Xavier Muskateers" on them?

Chris Mack would leave a trail of carnage were that to ever happen today.

Hell, as recently as 2004, in the Sweet 16 no less, Byron and Joe looked at their game sheets only to read "Xavier Mountaineers."
