Xavier has reconfigured some of its Cintas Center seating to coincide with its Big East debut and now will allow fans to purchase courtside seats for men’s basketball games. Interesting, its another step to the big time.

It does make me wonder what this means for press row. Will the media be behind these new courtside seats, or are they going to be relocated somewhere else, like UC did when they got the courtside seats. Or will press row be put up on a riser of a foot or two so they still have a view over the courtside people. Danger there is obstructing the view of the lower rows of club seating (very expensive seats, not the kind you want to obstruct)

Anyway, for those wondering I downloaded the flyer - the Premium Seating donation is $3,000 per seat, and the season ticket price is $750 per seat. Courtside seats are only sold in pairs and fours.

It also includes other perks, like in seat food service, private restroom, private entrance, game day program and halftime stats brought to your seat, and more. One perk is even listed as "Your feet will be on the hardwood"
