I am glad they didn't put "New Big East" as the mothership wants to call the league.

It is just the "Big East". The fact we are finally in this league still won't hit me until we play some conference home games.

I actually like it. It gives "the paint" a slightly darker shade. I guess that's as good as it gets since painted keys seem to be out of fad.

Oh, and the new logo looks great too. :).

I was concerned it would have that huge inaugural Big East logo at halfcourt, similar to those mini-replicas. Relieved to see the normal design. Would have been nice if the logo could be all blue, but can't win 'em all.

Notre Dame had an all white Big East logo, the paint was blue, similar to the old Xavier floor.

From a quick Google image search this is what I found:


Most of the schools in the Big East have a colored paint with the Big East logo in white.
Villanova and Seton Hall's on campus arena's have the blue and red Big East logo
Georgetown's court at the Verizon center has an all blue Big East logo

I would think there would be some standardized presentation of a trademarked logo for those authorized to use it.

Whatever, the red/blue mix is what's on Val's website. I'm OK with the look.
