It's rpi time,

and we climbed overnight, significantly.

Back up to 49 (from 57). I'd suppose that will leave us in Palm's next bracket.

Playing the Bonnies helped (they had 18 wins this year); if they can beat the Hawks and somehow beat GW in the semifinals, that would be the best-case scenario for an at-large. Then again, beat those teams and Xavier will have a great shot at another A-10 Tournament title.

Fantastic news about the College RPI. The updated Sagarin is not so encouraging as the ladies are at 61. GW is 22 in the College RPI and 27 in the Sagarin which should help XU either way when they play this week, and they will play this week.

I'm a little concerned that the ladies aren't exactly carrying momentum into this, especially offensively. They were able to win two close games in a row last year as the No. 3 seed and some of those players are still here, so, maybe that will translate. Hard to tell, but I'm a little uneasy about this tournament. I guess that's part of the fun.

Temple could be tested by either Dayton or Charlotte, so that could be interesting. Wouldn't it be fun if XU won the third match-up with Dayton to take the title? Lost two in the regular season, but took the big one when it really counted!

I wish the ladies the best going into the tourney. At this point they are what they are, hopefully they find a way - they're defense will have to carry the run.

I'll be listening in - ummmm- if the radio feed actually works. That's been disappointing - I heard a little yesterday in the second half, but it died. Our ladies and those of us who make an attempt to follow the team deserve better.

Dayton could give Temple problems (they did beat the Owls as well this year), but they are also capable of laying an egg against UMass if they don't come prepared to take care of their business. Temple did beat the Niners handily, so they clearly have the easier path to get to the A-10 final.
