The indictment (CLICK HERE TO READ (javascript:void(window.open('http://media.al.com/wire/other/Auburn%20indictment.pdf'));)) does not name any co-conspirators and cites a date of Jan. 25, 2012. Though that day's game against Arkansas doesn't cause any immediate red flags. Ward left with a thigh bruise and the Tigers kept the Razorbacks, who were favored by nine points, from covering the spread.

This will be an interesting case to follow.

I don't think it's really point shaving when you're on a horrible team that is an underdog in every game. I think that's called throwing games. Point shavers are supposed to try for backdoor covers (no homo).

I thought when you tried to throw a game, you made sure the other team covered the spread.

Or do I have that wrong?

I'm a terrible gambler.

I think it depends on what type of bet was involved. Although I'm a bad gambler as well.

Nigel will be along shortly to straighten this all out...with a class on how to shave, spreads and laying off stuff.

(I won't understand a thing he says)
