Looks like his Mother was the mastermind behind this. Apparently over some sort of land dispute.... whoa.

We need a body guard for the Blue Blob when we go down there.

Those people are still nuts over the war - - The War of Northern Agression or The War of Southern Rebellion, whichever floats your sword.

Not to offend any stupid people, but these people are really stupid people. Sorry, can't say "these people." The Hopson family is stupid. Not all Hopson families, but the ones who kidnap children. Sorry, "kidnapping" is kind of a nasty word. Hospon families who borrow children of families with whom they are having a dispute over land are stupid. I think I can get away with that.

Seems like it would have made more sense to kidnap the neighbor's girlfriend's dog. It's my understanding that is how these things are usually handled.

Two great names in this article though: Jashayla and Shaquayla. A+

I was wondering how he ended up at Alabama in the first place. A lot of coaches probably didn't bother.

Story has been updated (link (http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/05/details-emerge-in-kidnapping-case-involving-alabama-forward-devonta-pollard/)).

Devonta Pollard’s role in the kidnapping was that of a driver, as he transported Hopson to a hotel in Bessemer, Ala. From there, 21-year old Shaquayla Johnigan drove Hopson to a hotel in Laurel, Miss..

Pollard is facing 5 years in prison if convicted.
