Kinda Bizarre.
Old Dominion is a bizarre school anyway. Virginia has like 14 "Flagship" schools. UVA, William and Mary are obviously the best. Then there's Old Dominion and VCU...
The whole state is just weird.

From the article....
The Old Dominion basketball program is embarking on a new journey this summer, with Jeff Jones being hired as the new head coach and the school making the move from the Colonial Athletic Association to Conference USA.
I missed that one. Interesting hire.
Old Dominion's program was solid up until this year. Blaine Taylor, who I believe had been a sober alcoholic for seven years, became quite noticeably un-sober during their last few games and then on the air after the game. It's funny, but it's also kind of sad. I really liked him as a coach and thought he had some really good teams at ODU. It was just two years ago when they finished the regular season in the top 25, only to lose to Butler on a last second shot in the round of 64. They've had some good teams. I'd like to see Taylor get another chance some day. But, I don't think ODU had much of a choice when they got rid of him.
EDIT: Xavier actually played them in an exempt tournament a few years ago. I think it was the Paradise Jam. ODU had a good team that year as well.

Maybe X should put the whole state of Ohio on the floor and then impose our Logo on it? I'd be harping on that design too.
