Just as we recently lost Coach Brokhoff, another Xavier athlete also recently passed away, and way too soon at that:

I met Steve briefly once with Doug Steiner. A very nice young man. I believe Steve was one of the guys you could point to as being key in helping Doug develop the golf program that he's developed at Xavier.

Rest in Peace Steve.

Heard about this earlier. Didn't known him personally. But prayers to the family.

I didn't pay any attention to this when first posted and didn't realize until reading in the Enquirer how young he was. Condolences to his family and friends.

He certainly made a significant contribution to the X golf program. Anyone know what his connection to Victoria Golf Club was?

He was from Canada. I presume that either was his home course growing up or he was a pro there.

Correct. Steve's wife is actually my Musketette Grad Daughter's boss. They have a girl just starting first grade.

Steve helped as an Assistant for a while. He was originally from Canada and actually passed away there. He had diabetes but his passing was totally unexpected. Very, very sad.

I believe that a memorial service for Steve is being planned to be held at the new XU Golf facility sometime soon.

Thoughts and prayers to his wife and daughter.
