I think this is the kind of dude that I would want to slap in the face. Not punch. Slap.

I met this guy numerous times when I was in high school. Great guy, back then. For some reason he decided to become a moron and I'm not sure why he still has a job.

What the....?
I hope they get to play Alabama in January. Would serve him right.

The remarks were inappropriate, and he shouldn't have said them.

But, at the end of the day, the guy told some dumb jokes, and that was really the extent of what he did wrong. I think it's safe to say that he meant them in jest. He has apologized. I don't think a big deal needs to be made about this, but a big deal probably will be made about this.

I'd be surprised if Gee got as much heat as Sergio Garcia did for his comments directed at Tiger Woods recently. I don't remember too many cases where the media hammers someone for anti-Catholic comments.

If the media were run like the NCAA, Gee would be getting a letter of reprimand while Garcia would be looking at a 1-year bowl ban.

I took it to be more anti-Notre Dame than anti-Catholic. But, to your point, no one will be hammered too hard for being anti-Catholic or anti-Notre Dame.

Well, he got some sort of remediation session...which is probably very similar to a reflection session.

He makes it rain.

He needs to stop saying stupid shit, even in jest were they could become public. He's the president of one of the largest schools in the country. He's not the head coach of the football team.

This is now a pattern with E.

If I had a name as epic as E. Gordon Gee I would speak my warped old mind whenever I damn well pleased too. But I'm very happy that this real life fictional character is running Ohio State and not a school I don't hate.

Shut the hell up and do your job

Nuns are much tougher negotiators than are priests.

I pretty much side with Brew on this, but also agree with a caller on the radio that said, "if you are the President of a university that I did not attend and I know your name, then something's wrong."

Gee just announced his plan to retire next month.

Ohio State just got better.

Yeah, right.

Well he's out so it doesn't really matter.

I've always hated every reality TV show ever, but can we please get a few cameras on this guy and document his life as a retiree?

He can say all the stupid shit he wants to now. No one will listen or care, but he can now say whatever he likes.

Gee had some not particularly nice things to say about UC as well, so he's not all bad.

Apparently the remediation session was a complete failure.

WVU is a great place for Gee to land. He and the head coach of the basketball team can spend time lamenting over Catholic schools together.
