XU-28
SBU-16
Halftime. XU has 30 rebounds at the half. Wow. Only 3 in the scoring column so far. TaShia-15, Tudy-7, Amber-6. Bonnies only had 3 score too.
Also weird, along with the no commentary on channelsurfing, they dont show the scoreboard much. Hard to keep track of the score.

SBU-57
Final.
Amber 21pts/11rebs. TaShia 19/17. Tudy 10pts. Jerri 7 and Special 3-that one basket was huge. They were down 52-51 with just under two when she hit that one. At the end, SBU had the ball under their own basket, down one, with 4 seconds left and turned it over. Jerri then made two ft's to finish it off. I do have to say I like the offense SBU often runs. Lots of screens at the elbow and subsequent cuts down the lane for layups. They got lots of those today.
Any win's a good one, especially on the dreaded road. Congrats to the ladies.

Struggled through watching listening to this one.
That video link was pretty weird, I wasn't getting it real smooth very herky jerky and the lack of an announcer made it worse. So I decided that I'd combine it with Gametracker, you might know how frustrating that is. I felt like I had paid to see a game, the arena was empty and I couldn't leave the bathroom.
Anyway, thank goodness they held on for this one. Amber, T-Phil and Tudy certainly held up their end of the bargain for the entire game, and Jerri hit some very very clutch baskets late. For once the ladies free throw shooting was not a problem.
Early in the game it appeared XU would just wipe the Bonnies right off the court, but the shooting percentages really turned in the second half.
Honestly, for that team to go the majority of the game with only 3 players scoring, something must be wrong with the offense, I can't imagine the loss of Barringer would shake up the offense that much. Special, Jerri and especially Mo really need to get the ball in the basket for this team to have a chance in the A-10 and beyond.

Special has been inconsistent all year, some of which is due to inexperience. When Barringer went down, I knew it was bad news for the team. Now McGuff has to have Jerri run the point when Special has a bad game, and I'm just not impressed with Jerri at PG. Losing Barringer was a VERY bad thing.
Jerri just doesn't seem right to me. I don't know if she's still hurt and trying to play through it, but she's almost a non-factor right now. That isn't a good thing if she's your starting shooting guard. The team desperately needs production from this position.
I'm not really sure what to say about Mo. Almost no production from this position either. She seems to have gotten worse as the season has gone on. Has she run out of gas this season? It seems like she's hit the wall.
I just wonder if the whole team has hit the wall. With the exception of Amber, no one has played this many minutes in a season before.

What little I was able to hear of the game, I did pick up that the Bonnies packed it in - like all their players were playing between the foul line and baseline on defense.
I think it's pretty clear the outside shooting isn't going to suddenly get better - hopefully it does, but there are no signs of it. Special hit a 3 in the second half, and Jerri had 5 pretty important points that helped break one of the ties. Worst case the guards are picking their spots, but I think they need to pick a few more often.
The coaching staff is obviously content to pound it inside in an "any port in a storm" line of thinking. It'd be nice if they at least tried a set that better spreads the floor. I think Ta'shia, Amber and April are mobile enough to make some slashing type cuts from the wings to get open and get lay-ups. There's just not enough space to operate. I did pick up that Ta'shia made some nice drop steps - so kudos to her for creating what she can. It's also pretty impressive she continues to produce down there with three people surrounding her.
St. Bonnie is a tough road trip from the mental aspect, so it's nice the ladies held on to a win.
Please stand by for the cheesy rah-rah portion....
Now it's "three to go to get to the show."
