I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can think of is that it is saying we participated in the tournament?

I can't zoom in far enough to read anything on the shirt, but perhaps it's referring to the 1958 NIT Championship, which at the time you could argue merited you the national champion.

The shirt is only talking about Xavier's time spent in the A-10 though.
