Yunno, as much as I hate a lot of the games we see during what I call the "Financial Redistribution" portion of the season, I do admire a team that just cuts right to the chase. Check out this ad by Long Island....

LIU Brooklyn is looking for $$$$$$$ games.... We need small guarantees as well as 1 larger guarantee.

The majority of teams are just looking for home and homes, which is normally the case, but every year it seems to be worse than usual. Oklahoma State should be good, and they're looking to fill their neutral floor game in Oklahoma City.

Clemson, who should be better, but still not very good, is looking to start two home and home series on the road, which is interesting...

Michigan State appears to once again put together a brutal OOC schedule.

Teams like Saint Mary's and Cincinnnati that never seem to play anybody are looking for multiple guarantee games. No surprise there. Maryland is looking for multiple guarantee games as well. I guess they didn't get the message when they were left out of the field last year.

Southern Miss did get the message after last year's hostess schedule. I don't know if htey'll get any big name teams or not, but at least they're trying.

Kentucky seems to be putting together a round robin tournament of themselves and four other weaker teams. In reality, it's just four home games against weak teams, but I guess technically they'll call it an exempt tournament.

A note to all you small programs that I know read thsi message board, don't accempt any guarantees now. The closer we get to the season, the more desperate teams are to fill those dates. The more desperate they are, the more they pay. Well over 80% of the teams on here are looking for guarantee games, so there will be plenty of opportunities.

That being said, I hate most guarantee games. I never feel sorry for anyone like Iowa, and Southern Miss, and Maryland, who gets left out after playing so many of htem. I wish Saint Mary's would have been left out as well, but it's (unfortunately) a 68 team tournamnet now, and they have to take someone.

I so would love to see a Clemson series.......I could wear my big X while I teach on game day and then head right over to Littlejohn to watch the murdering. It will be glorious!

LIU is one of the better teams in the Northeast Conference. UC generally likes to schedule the weaker teams fron the weaker conferences, so probably not.
