Oladipo announced yesterday and Zeller is expected to announce today.
IU still oversigned by 1.

So Louisville and Kentucky have won the last two national titles, and Butler was in the two championship games before that. And Crean has taken IU to...two Sweet Sixteens. I'd say the heat is officially on in Bloomingsburg.

Butler fans have to be sweating bullets if Crean gets the axe, which I think will eventually happen because I don't think he is a very good coach. If I was IU and I knew Stevens would be willing to leave Butler to come to Indiana I would have Crean on a VERY short leash.

I'm convinced Stevens will only leave Butler for Duke.

Coaches of top ten teams that make back to back Sweet Sixteens don't get fired. Not yet anyway. I can think of two coaches who were fired after reaching the round of 32 (Dino Gaudio, Tubby Smith), so we may be heading that way.

I didn't say he was gonna get fired. That doesn't mean his fanbase is going to be happy with him, though, if Louisville and Kentucky keep going to the Final Four and winning national titles and IU keeps ducking out in the Sweet Sixteen. I'd say the honeymoon is over there.

I don't like Crean, yet I don't want to see him get fired because I like the fact that IU has a guy that I don't like. The fact that he's not the best bench coach in the world is also a plus.

IU could be an NIT team next year as I look at the returning team.

Noah Vonleh is ridiculous, though.

Didn't Lavin get fired for only taking the team to the Sweet 16?

The season he got fired, they were under .500.

Wait, crean is having players leave? I thought I might shed a tear, but I was wrong.

He got as far as the Elite 8 in 1997, but that his was his only run that deep.
That and seasons where you miss the NCAAs get you fired at UCLA.

I hope Crean fails at everything. Probably my most disliked coach out there.

Someone once said Tom Crean looked like Tom Arnold playing Aaron Sorkin. Had a good chuckle. I forget who said that.

For what it's worth, I live in IU country and I would say the heat is far from on with Crean. This could obviously change as expectations change, but many adore him for how he has turned around the program, gone to two straight Sweet 16s and love his passion and enthusiasm.
It will take a little bit more than Louisville and Kentucky winning a couple of championships to give Crean the hot seat. Then again, I think the team will be a bubble to lower seeded tourney team this year, so it will be interesting to see how fans react now that "IU is back"
