It's nice to see we're not the only one's she's torched. She has 19 against #1 Baylor, and Louisville leads them by 14 with under eight minutes left. She's made 5-of-8 3's and the team has hit 16 of 23! (Another girl, Antonita Slaughter is 7 of 8).

She had 33 against us as a freshman when Louisville ended the careers of Harris and Phillips in 2011.

That was a great game tonight. I was very happy to see Baylor lose. Their coach seems like a nasty, nasty woman.

Baylor's coach basically blamed the loss on the refs, too. What a loonball.

I saw that press conference quote, too. Louisville got called for 10 more fouls (24 to 14), shot 10 fewer free throws (16 to 26) and had three starters foul out. Louisville turned it over after the one charge she got particularly upset about, and it was AFTER that play when Baylor took its lead.

If anything, Baylor got a huge call when Louisville was called for a bad charge while making a basket that would have put them up eight with two minutes to go. Instead, the basket was waived off, the player fouled out, and the Louisville coach was given a technical for what, I still don’t know, but it couldn’t have been any worse than the way Mulkey reacted to that block/charge against Baylor.

I hadn't seen Shimmel play since the game against Xavier two years ago, but I watched a good portion of these last two games against Baylor and Tennessee. She's fantastic. A real gamer, too. And her sister isn't half bad, either. They'll probably get by Cal and lose in the title game for the second time in four years.

Heard Schimmel referred to in a news story as women's basketball's Pete Maravich,,,,, little over the top, but not far off. She definitely has a sixth sense of where the hoop is.
have you seen the movie about her???

Hard not to like her, despite her being a Xavier killer.
