Smith to Niners???

So Madieu went to Minny, and Smith is looking at SF. Is it me, or would Smith seriously suck in a 3-4? I have nothing against the guy and admire his work ethic, but this move makes no sense to me.

in reality it really just comes down to how many $'s they throw at you rather than the defensive scheme. He has a worse chance of winning the super bowl in SF than here, so that makes it seem like a $ issue. Just my two cents worth.
