I'm not a big fan of Iowa State's. That being said, with the way they shoot threes, they could get hot and have the chance to beat just about anyone. But I wouldn't count on them getting out of round one.

Notre Dame is usually a sure fire first round loss, at least in my brackets they always are. I think Iowa State takes them then gives OSU a run for their money.

A lot of people don't like Reilly. But this column had a couple of funny lines on how not to fill out a bracket.
I liked this one especially:
Pick against the Jesuits. They have five schools in the dance -- Gonzaga, Saint Louis, Creighton, Marquette, Georgetown -- and none lower than a No. 7 seed. Plus, they're coming off the election of the first Jesuit pope in history.

Yeah, I can't beleive how well the A-10 is doing. It's like the other schools have decided to stop being the stooges they usually are and build up a nice huge cache of NCAA credits they can use to taunt us wtih.
Just like a lot of other things, the minute we finally get something to its point of excellence, time to change everything.
That's okay - pretty soon we'll have our new conference on a roll.

I'd like to thank Georgetown, Wisconsin and New Mexico for doing their part to insure I don't win any of the pools I'm in. Mostly Georgetown, since I had them winning the championship in one of those pools. Well done, Hoyas. Well done.
On the upside, I'm having no trouble whatsoever believing that Xavier will dominate the Big East/BE (for DC)/BEast (for MOR). Having watched Georgetown and Villanova pi$$ away their chances, I'm more than confident we will be A-okay. I'm also completely convinced that UC squandered their time in the Big East, further proving that the World's Tallest Leprechaun couldn't coach his way out of a pot of basketballs. I didn't really need to be convinced further, but it never hurts to have more evidence to prove a point.

And when it does happen, every other school in America (save one in a town called dayton because they have no hope of ever being a 1 seed) will breathe a sigh of relief that it wasn't their team that became the first 1 seed in history to lose to a 16 seed.

Actually when they cut the schollies down to 13 it changed a lot and started giving more parity to all teams. The other aspect is a lot of players now go pro early and teams that have 4/5 seniors can truly compete with the more talented younger players/teams.
