Xavier joined the A-10 the year before my freshman year. I will never forget watching X play a very talented UMASS team at the Garden's.
I won't forget clinching those A-10 Titles or the guys celebrating with the signs.... so many great memories...
I do wish I had managed to make it to more away games to see some of the more "historic" venues of our conference brethren.

2006 A10 Tournament in Cinci. Winning it all and rushing the court. Nothing beats that.

Being extremely inebriated with some of my best friends, up in Gayton, for the A10 tourney when we DESTROYED #1 St Joes. Probably the most fun I've had watching a game away from Cintas.

I was a freshman starting in 2010, so my Xavier fandom history doesn't date back far.
My favorite memory might be before I got to durign the Sweet 16 game vs. K-State. Just an unreal game.
My favorite memory at a home game is probably the comeback against Purdue last season.
My favorite memory of an A10 game might just be any 3 of the Jimmy Carter wins.

The UMass game at the Gardens.
Shawnta Rogers hitting that game winning shot at Smith Center.
Getting run over by GW in 2004 in the Smith Center right before we went on "The Run"
Seeing James Posey jump from the foul line to dunk on GW player at the Smith Center
Hammer hitting the game winner at the Smith Center and replaying that moment in a flag football game touchdown against GW alumni
Telling Drew Lavender "I love you Gary Coleman!" and him smiling up at me after we won at the Smith Center where the students kept calling him "Gary Coleman."
Winning at the Mullins Center after Sean Miller screamed at Josh Duncan, "Josh DO SOMETHING!"
Thinking all of Jameer Nelson's boys were going to stab me and my friends after beating them in 2003.
Larry's steaks across the street from Hawk Hill.
Losing to URI in my only appearance at AC and then proceeding to drink excessively while screaming at Dayton fans in about ten different casinos.
Yelling at Bryon after every road game on the east coast. Guy has to think I'm crazy.

For me, it's a hands-down easy pick... watching Xavier beat... no... DEMOLISH the #1 team in the country in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals in 2004. St. Joseph's was really good that year with Jameer Nelson and Delonte West. Xavier shot over 70% in the game and ended up winning by 20 points! Holy crap!

Seeing James Posey jump from the foul line to dunk on GW player at the Smith Center...
To this day, that is still my all time favorite dunk. Posey is also my all time favorite Xavier player.

I was a freshman and had just gotten hurt in practice. I watched that game in the Cintas training room with Jodi Jenike and the volleyball team. It was awesome.

Favorite memory was in Dayton for the A-10 Tournament when Snipe unleashed a fart that burned steel. We were on our way out to the smoking area at half time, and he uncorks an unlicensed bio-chemical weapon. It was in the top 3 worst things I've ever smelled in my life, and that includes the time there was a decomposing body near Torrence Parkway.
We're trapped in the walkway because of the retarded way that dump is built, so there is nowhere to go. We are just standing there in Snipe's stench trying to act like it was someone else. Then I looked around, and right behind Snipe is an 80 year old Dayton grandma. It's wall-to-wall people, so she's no more than 4 inches behind him, and she's short. Like nose within a few inches of Snipe's anus short. She must have felt the hot wind of hell blow her blue hair away from her wrinkled old face a split second before she began to sense her eyebrow hair beginning to dissolve and fall onto her watermelon stained red sweatshirt. The only saving grace is that the methane that replaced the oxygen in her brain probably prevented her from properly registering the memory.

Being there when we won 3 in a row, 4 in a row and ultimately 5 in a row.
Watching D West school dayton with 47 points.
Watching us destroy the #1 St. Joes in the A10 tourney in Dayton, then beating Dayton at Dayton for the championship, and then finishing the season by going to the elite 8.
Watching Justin Doellman and Justin Cage lead us to victory at US Bank in the A10 tournament. We X fans were rocking that place and it was an amazing win over St. Joes.

- 5 titles in a row
- UMASS game vs Camby and crew (still loudest sporting event I've ever attended; Gardens really held in the noise)
- Taking down St Joes in Dayton
- 4 in 4 days in Dayton
- 4 in 4 days in Cincinnati (Cage block)
- Posey dunk at GW
- Frey and Duquesne fight
- Chanting USA-USA to all the GW players
- David drops 47 vs Dayton
- David West senior day w/ 8 inches of snow on ground
- West tip-in vs GW at the buzzer
- Darnell Williams recovering from surgery and the first announcement of him entering game
- Lenny Brown and taking down UC
- Frey Layup and beating of UC
- Chalmers step back to beat UC
- TuTu's and-1 to beat UC
- Lloyd Price steal at midcourt and beating UC (trend? I thinks so)
- Posey dunk and lights going off in Gardens almost simultaneously
- TJ Johnson, Brandon Cole, Jason Love, Torraye Braggs and loads of other bruising big men
- Redford's 6 threes vs GW this year
Lastly: Brian Grant Jersey retirement
Load of more to recall - GREAT memories

No doubt. Being in that arena and seeing that total, unexpected destruction of the Hawks that day was unbelieveable. XU had to play the day before and we had to beat St. Bonnie's to even get to that game...and that was no guarantee. What was just as unbelieveable was meeting Kahns, Snipe and Freddy Garvin in the lobby after the game and the fact that they could even stand erect. I'm not sure that any syllable that emitted from their mouths was decipherable. In my usual generous mode, I purchased frosty beverages for them which still have not ever been repaid.
Although I wasn't there for Saturday night, though, watching the Muskies extinguish all hope of the Cryers on their own wood was special too. Knowing that Pablo, Filthy Chilean and many others had the chance to court storm and stomp on the udump logo along with the vicarious experience of doing the same thing in my family room will last in the brain forever.

Beating St. Joe's in the 2006 A10 finals. Justin Cage rushing out to the three-point line to block the Hawks' potential game-winning shot at the buzzer is an image that will is burned into my memory.
Every year we held up the A10 champions sign and cut down the nets.
The Jimmy Carter game every year.
Tu Holloway and Co. beating everybody in 2011 except Charlotte on the road.
Specifically the Duquesne game in 2011, as the Dukes would have been in 1st place if they won. Dante Jackson lit them up in a great game I got to attend at the Consol Arena.
In 2007, beating George Washington by 29 at their place the year after they had gone undefeated in the conference regular season. I hated GW back then.
Drew Lavender winning the MVP award at Dayton in that same year. It was the only time I went to Dayton Arena for the game.
Senior Night my senior year (2009) when Xavier took out Dayton to win the A10 title
The two that stand out to me is the game against Dayton where David West scored something like 752 points and the game against St. Joes in the A10 tourney up in the cess pool that is known as UD Arena.

Hands down, no questions asked. Beating dayton on daytons home court for the championship, then dancing on the court and their logo.
Apparently I ran to the bathroom to throw up, couldn't get into their troughs, ran outside and puked on the side of the dump. Gave a thumbs up to Xavier fans cheering the spectacle. It was my proudest moment. Ever. Ever ever.

It's a known fact: you have to be hammered beyond all belief to tolerate being in that building.

I'm proud to say that, except for St. Louis and VCU, I have been to every A10 arena venue- including the old bandbox Fieldhouse at Rhode Island.
Will not miss going to Tom Gola's garage, but strangely, enjoyed visiting Fordham & Hawk Hill was cool. None of those places will ever succeed long term in those gyms though.
I'll never forget that time we beat dayton at home.

There are so many I'll limit it to just against A-10 opponents.
Wiping out St. Joe's undefeated season. Watching Chalmers put on a clinic agains Jameer Nelson and being in the X section just too awestruck to do anything but laugh like a little girl. Then coming back up to UD to watch X finish off the flyers.
West's 47 against UD.
Posey's dunk with the lights out at the Gardens. I didn't actually see the dunk, but saw Posey hanging from the rim when the lights came back on.
Beating St. Joe's at the Coliseum to win the A-10. Being in whatever the bar was next to the Coliseum when the team came in to a standing ovation. Seeing Keith Jackson at the bar as well. I knew it was Keith Jackson because he was wearing Keith Jackson's Xavier jersey.
Keith Jackson's block of a Brooks Hall lay-up at Cintas. The most incredible block I've ever seen in person. After that block, Brooks Hall - the softest player in UD history - basically disappeared.
Taking UMass to OT at the Gardens.
Frey taking an elbow from the thug from Duquesne (Ogunlesi?) then coming back into the game after going to the locker room.
West's buzzer beater against GW.
Burrell's buzzer beater against GW.
Redford's pull up 3 from just past the "X" at mid-court against UD.

In person - has to be #1 UMASS at the gardens. Electric beyond belief.
Not there - taking down undefeated hawks - total dismantling!

In person was easily killing #1 St. Joe’s- specifically looking up after a timeout with about eight minutes left and seeing the score as 74-37. The 20-point final margin did not give that beating justice.
(Also, beating St.Bonnie’s was pretty much a guarantee- this was the year after the cheating scandal when they forfeited their last game and nearly got booted out of the league. They were supposed to be ineligible for the A-10 tournament, but had completely cleared house and the league rewarded them by letting them play in the tournament).
On TV it was David West’s 47 against Dayton. I remember watching that thinking we were playing like crap… except West. He had something like all our first 16 points. I’ve never seen any one player completely dominate an entire game like that.

Best memories during A10 years?
Simple. Beating our real rival twice when they were #1 in the country.
Nothing else even comes close. Thank you Muskies.
