RIP Bobby Smith

One of my favorite, and one of the most underrated singers, Bobby Smith of the Spinners, died yesterday. One of the smoothest voices ever, and a band that should have been a no-brainer for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Was fortunate enough see the Spinners in concert and was one of the best live shows I've seen.

The Spinners' Greatest Hits CD is top notch; "I'll Be Around" is a classic. Loved seeing them perofrm "Rubberband Man" on Carson decked out in their pale blue tuxedos. These guys rank up with the Stylistics musically.

Love the Spinners. 6 or 7 songs that everyone knows, but nobody knows its the spinners. Games people play is my 7 year old daughter s favorite song. Too bad
