Hi Y'all,

Since we'll be climbing into bed together once again I just have to ask how y'all feel about those pesky Dayton Flyers joining the new Big East? The hate for Dayton on the Marquette board is, well, let me just say that if you cannot say something nice then you should just zip those lips shut. Why is there such animosity. After all, aren't they just the same as the rest of us? I mean, really, they are Catholic and they pack the seats so where is the love?? Maybe y'all can enlighten me?:smile:

You'll not see any love for udump on this, or any other Xavier board. Besides the SucKS Borecats, the Cryers are our biggest pain in the posterior and we've played more games against them than any other school.

The fans are delusional, have too high an opinion of their place in college basketball and they always seem to follow us around like lapdogs.

We are Notre Dame's most frequent opponent and I can tell you there is no love lost between our two schools. I think everyone of us at both schools has a friend at the other and that gives this rivalry a special zest. Our most frequent opponent is Wisconsin but that isn't nearly so precious as what we feel for our games against those bullies from South Bend. I shall miss our games against Notre Dame when they leave for the ACC as those were truly spirited contests!

Look, dayton sucks. They've done nothing in decades to earn consideration for an upgrade from the A10. I personally don't want to see the addition of any more schools for the sake of having a higher number of teams in the league, and I sure as shit don't want to see dayton added when there are better options and programs that I have more respect for. The flyers can go plug watermelons while the big boys play basketball. If you think that's hateful, perhaps the heat of rivalries isn't for you.

I am not trying to be an argue puss here. If you go to our board which is MUScoop you will see that many many people really do not want Dayton to join the new Big East. Some mention how Dayton just hogged all the tournament hosting in the old Great Midwest but I don't know anything about that. If there is a reason to not want Dayton I will support that. I just don't know what that is.
