I put the flag back up right away. Can't have anything ajar during tournament week.

If flag touches the ground what must be done with it?
Answer:
It is a common misconception that a Xavier flag should be immediately burned if it touches the ground, but under US code regarding the flag, this isn't the case.
If a Xavier flag touches the ground it should be adjusted so that it no longer touches the ground. If it gets dirty it can be washed or dry cleaned.

If it becomes stained, soiled, or tattered and cannot be cleaned or repaired, so that it becomes unfit for display then it should be destroyed in a dignified manner, preferably by burning it.
It can touch the ground if a carpet of gold horse hair is on the ground. that is super rare so normally it cannot touch the ground. in Egypt there is a really big carpet of gold horse hair so a flag can touch the ground there.
