It took too long to get there for an at large bid, but I feel like this season's X-men are officially legit. They'll probably go down in Brooklyn, but they'll go down hard, and scare the bollocks out of whomever they play along the way.
Let's go X!

I don't think they will go,down at all. Neutral court will allow X to win 4

I completely agree. We are playing like a tournament caliber team right now. If we could hit the reset button, we'd win the games we'd need to win to get in. We actually DID win the games we needed to, we just lost some games that we couldn't afford to lose.
In a way, we can hit the reset button. If we win the conference tournament, we're in. The opening round and quarterfinal games will be winnable. If we win in the quarterfinals, the psychee of everything changes.
Do I wish we were solidly in?? Yes.
Do I think the First Four is complete bullcrap even though advancing to the championship game and losing MIGHT get us in?? Honestly, yes.
Having said that, played above itself more than any in recent memory, and considering some of the teams we've had in recent memory, that's saying a lot. I don't mean that as a dig at some of our recent successes. I mean that as praise of this team. We were thin to begin with, then we lost another key player due to an "unfortunate" (for lack of a better word) series of events, then we had injuries, yet despite that, we're currently playing like a tournament caliber team.
Who else in the country played above themselves the way Xavier did??
