The divorce is imminent, and the Catholic 7 can get on with the rest of their lives. They'll need a few things now, but not a new name, since they're being awarded full custody of the Big East title in the settlement.

Pretty interesting that NOW is when LoPresti is talking about "lack of tournament success" after the league is broken up. They sure never got on St. Boeheim for his exits before....like when they lost to Butler.
And I'd say that Xavier/Butler is already pretty chippy....but the ESPN media dominated landscape has been too busy to notice how Hinkle's clocks suck and they have weak water fountains.

I thought the article was okay. It WILL be tough for the Big East to keep up with the ACCs and Big Tens of the world. But that's really a C7 problem and not Xavier's. Because we're going to be better off in the Big East no matter how you slice it.

Oh, no doubt we're better off. It's just that there will be all this romanticizing about "the old days" with Pitt and Cincy and.....blah, blah, blah....how it was so much better back then.
