SLU up 26-22 with 6 left in the 1st half.

Game is on ESPN2.

SJU needs to win this game.

Good game so far especially considering how much size St Joes has on SLU. SLU going to have to play very well to pull one out.

ESPN loves getting Majerus on TV don't they?

Also... thanks for talking about Michael Beasely instead of talking about what's going on in the game.

I really want St. Joe's in this one so that we can all be there to witness the Muskies winning the A-10 outright!

I'm going to be sick...

"Just shows the the type of versatility that comes from the University of North Carolina. You could do Nascar, basketball, I"m thinking about doing the Atlanta Braves."

I believe Dayton has loaned Binnie to St. Joe's. The guy guarding Lidell III is almost as effective.

31-29 St Louis at half.

Liddell/Lisch with 24 of SLU's 31 points.

Bingo! We have a new phrase... "He was playing BinnieBall."

I want SJU to win. The reason is that X is playing there next week in the last game at Alumni Hall and it will be senior night. SJU losing tonight only makes the sense of urgency to win that game much more because a loss to St. Louis is much worse for SJU than a loss to X.

I like it.

The Hawks are going to have to stop playing BinnieBall or their hopes for an at-large bid are going to be gone after this game.

Man STL has been one weird team this year. The can absolutely suck one night and then manhandle a really good team with a respectable margin of vitory the next night.

It is possible the selection committee will recognize the competetiveness in the A-10 this year before discarding St. Joe's and UMass for the losses they have collected.

I don't know about SJU. If they lose this game, they are 6-4 in their last 10, and that would include at home losses to LaSalle and St. Loo. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Yeah it is going to look pretty bad with another loss like this. That is a tough one for St. Joe's. This league is looking more and more like a one bid league, amazingly. St. Joe's is a good team, but they had to win this one. You can't let St. Louis come in and beat you at this point in the season.

One-bid league! We looked like we might get as many as 5 earlier this year.

Wow SJU crapped the bed. It seemed like every bounce off every rebound went to SLU

Unless of course if for some unforeseen reason X doesn't win the A-10 tourney. Then it will be two bids.

It certainly doesn't help when the Pac 10 may get as many as SIX teams in the Big Dance. I think the A-10 will get 2 bids. It will be X and Umass/St. Joe's/ or Rhody.

Boy what a hit SJU just took. That make their home game against X a must win game.

SJU had to finish 3-1. Now they need to finish 3-0, which would include a win over X.

Am I the only one that doesn't care what the rest of the conference does?
[In conference that is. Obviously I want them all to do well out of conference, so that it looks better when we smack the tar out of them]
St Louis moved into the top 100 with this win. That's good for us. Beyond that, I don't care.

Do you think Memphis cares whether or not Houston or UAB gets a bid? I don't. I wouldn't if I were them.

Right there with you. In a perfect world, I'd like to see the A-10 with 6 or 7 teams in the NCAA Tournament, but as long as the A-10 teams do a relatively good job of taking care of business in the non-conference so as to not screw up our RPI, I'm not particularly upset by Juan Bid's presence.

The way St. Joe's played last night it would be best if they didn't play in the NCAA. They would embarass the A-10 if they gave that sort of effort in an NCAA tournament game.

Did you see that St. Joe's got outrebounded 38-24 by SLU? SLU only has one player taller than 6'5"!! That screams to me of a lack of effort on St. Joe's part.

I think UMass has a chance to win a game in the NCAA tournament. With Lowe, Harris, and Forbes they have a good enough backcourt to win a game.

Outside of UMass and Xavier, I think the rest of the A-10 would probably just embarass themselves.

1) What the hell Hawks?

2) Scru SLU. Way to be yet another spoiler. Why didn't you get your act together earlier in non-conference so that now you are competing for an at-large?

3) Will 2 out of 3 regular season games plus 2 tourney wins be enough for SJU? 21-11?
