I was reading the matchup section in our local newspaper about tonight's game and thought this was a pretty amazing stat for you guys....

Out of every game you have played this year, you have NOT lead in the second half only two times? That's pretty eye-opening. Means you have lost some heartbreakers.

Tough luck on the guard being out. We wish him a speedy recovery and also wish he could play tonight.

Good luck and hopefully no more injuries for either team.....

Yep. It's really killing us X fans. We could have legitimately won just about every game this year, just couldn't get it done for a variety of reasons. Very frustrating. We aren't used to having down years.

Davis being out against Memphis is especially bad because of matchups. Redford can nail 3s and he's decent to good on defense nowadays but Memphis' talent is too much for him, I fear. I hope I'm wrong.

Biggest reason for that is the shortness of the roster, for many unearned reasons that I won't rehash here.

As the old saying goes.....what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Chris Mack will be a better coach, and these players will be better players after this year.

Conversely, we could have also lost many of the games we won. Let's face it, most of our games have been 50-50 games with 4m to go, and we've won as many as we've lost.

What are the two games we didn't lead in? Dayton? St. Joe's?

Pacific and Dayton

And Pacific we almost tied at the buzzer, but JMart's 3 went in and out.

Thanks for that TigerMemphis.

I was just looking at bracketology and you can't help but to think...

As bad as we've been this year, and sitting at 15-11, IF we could have pulled out Wofford and Vandy (realistic) I think we're in at 17-9. We're pretty damn close if we're not and with these Memphis, SLU, and Butler games coming up, we'd have a chance to play ourselves in.

For farts sake, I say we Win out, win two in the A-10 tourney and make the comittee keep a 21-12 (11-5) Xavier team out. Flagship style.

2 key players get concussions in a season. How often do you see that in basketball?

As long as refs allow guys to violate verticality and stick their heads in with reach ins like happened Saturday, you'll see it a lot more.

Watched it on DVR again. Dee and the VCU guy did NOT "run into each other". Dee was catching the ball and VCU player lunges in. Heads collide, players go down. No foul. After reviewing the play over again, I'm even more pissed.

Sour grapes - they fouled every time they trapped. Their vaunted press gets NBA star-player treatment.

Verticality is straight up and down. I am not sure applies there MOR. I watched it several times and while I didn't like the call in person. I thought it was pretty good defense. It was jist one of those things. The charge call on Semaj was BS though.
