Looking forward to the Tigers vs. Musketeers game!
Will be making the road trip from Memphis to Cincinnati for the game Tuesday. Driving up the same day to arrive around 5pm. What time do they let people into the arena?
Any suggestions for good pre-game meal close to the site?
Also, sorry that the first thread on here that claimed to be a Memphis fan was Tigerscane (if it really was the actual notorious poster).
Have always loved watching Xavier beat Cincinnati, even in years when Cinci was highly ranked.
My group of three will be up in the rafters, so shouldn't be in anyone's way.

If you like Hole-in-the-wall bars, get a Muskie burger and some Spicy Balls at Dana Gardens(self promotion).

Gordo's Pub & Grill has great burgers. Betta's Italian Grill has great pizza and other Italian dishes. Both are on Montgomery Rd, 5 - 10 minutes from Cintas.

IF you see a priest with glasses give him the bird and tell him thanks for making your win tomorrow night rather easy.
I think we all need to send GG a smiley face. :jawdrop2:

Dana's is the epitome of Fine Dining and quaffing closest to Cintas Center. It is also the epicenter of Xavier "culture". The Innkeeper is a legend, that is, when he decides to actually work. :tonguewag:
However, if you are looking for something like a PF Changs or a few other upper level chain type restaurants, you can go a bit further up I-71 to the Rookwood Commons Shopping area. That would be at the I-71/Smith Road exit just a bit north of campus. There is a Max & Ermas and also a Longhorn Steakhouse as well as a couple of other places.
Xavier doesn't charge for parking. Just follow the signs and the police directions to the non-permit lots.

If you're going to send him to a chain, at least direct him to Skyline. This is Cincinnati after all. I would do it myself, but I've spent precious little time in that area in the last 15 years.

if you don't got to Dana's, Betta's, or Gordo's then try The Rusty Bucket at Rookwood Commons.

With your timing, you really can't go wrong with Dana's, Betta's or Gordo's. Dana's and Betta's have the slight advantage of not having to move your car between your meal and the game. Gordo's has a great burger. Dana's is the classic college bar and there is plenty of parking in the lot next door. Betta's has good wood fired pizza.

Jeez you gotta go to Danas. Hole in the Wall but walking distance to Cintas with very good burgers. Now if you are all high falootin and the whatnot, then you could go to Rookwood, but you will have to drive from there to the arena. So in that case I would recommend...Hell just go to Danas.
I HATE dayton.

Dana's sounds intriguing although three big guys in Memphis gear two hours before game time might stand out a bit. Love a wood oven cooked pizza though.

The students are on spring break so it will probably be way less busy than usual. Give BJ some biz and buy a beer from him at Dana's, at least, then decide what you want to eat. You'll be treated well. We all love college basketball and college basketball fans, as long as they aren't trolls.

Without a doubt. I make it a point to say hello to anyone wearing opposing team stuff as long as they are not making a fool of themselves.

Does Dana's still serve the "UC Sucks Mett"?

I have never had Spicy Balls (yes I went there), but I can give a good review for the Muskie Burger.
