No other team has finished .500 or better in conference over the last 31 consecutive seasons. Not Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, Duke, Syracuse, Gonzaga, Memphis, North Carolina, NONE OF THE CATHOLIC 7, not any team EXCEPT our Xavier University Musketeers.
A tradition of winning second to none.
Simply amazing really.

Just simply amazing and a streak I believe is just, if not more, as impressive than Jimmy Carter

You got your MF82 streak of conference performance.
You got your Jimmy Carter streak of udump ineptitude.
And you got your Sister Rose streak of graduating seniors.
XU...getting it done.

And this is a "bad" year.
Yeah, we're spoiled.

Interesting that this streak matches the #, 31, that X has beaten ud in Cincy.

Well, what would you call it? I consider any year X doesn't make the tournament a bad year. However, I still think X can make it as an at-large or auto bid. Time will tell.

I think the only shot at an at-large bid is win out and lose in the A-10 finals. Barring that, we need the auto bid by winning in Brooklyn. Shannon Russell tweeted earlier today that she talked with Jerry Palm and he said X has no shot at an at-large bid. He thinks there are 7 teams better than us in the A-10. Guess he hasn't checked the standings lately.

Maybe Jerry Palm would like to join the Bilas Bite Me Line.

Give the guy a break. When your best friend is also your last name, life can be hard.

The problem with Palm's logic is that a finishing flourish by X would move them ahead of several of those teams, certainly in the A-10 race and possibly from a resume perspective. Specifically, X would move ahead of Temple, La Salle, Charlotte and UMass if they finished, say, 4-1.
Not saying it's likely but to completely discount the possibility is silly in my opinion.
