Looks like Tommy Tuberville is already pissing off important Ohio High School football coaches.

Way to start out in a place you've never been before.

Reminds me of the article right after Urban Meyers went to Ohio State. The one where he basically told the other BIG coaches what they could do with their gentlemen's agreements regarding recruiting.

It's more sour grapes on the Massillon coaches behalf if you know any of the details. And pretty much the whole thing is QB Kyle Kempt (former UC commit, now Tennessee commit) that started it.

Irrelevant.

Any bad publicity for the Borecats is great by me. Don't care who the source is or their motivations.

It looks to me like the Massillon kid decommitted before Tuberville was ever hired, and there wasn't much of a relationship to start with.

Yawn.

You know me, K. Any negative against SucKS is a positive.

More bad stuff on Tuberville. The guy is compiling quite a list.

This was expected as Urban Cryer is an ass and deserves all the negative Karma he has and will accumulate. It will come back on him eventually like the cheater before him.

Is it just me or do a larger percentage of college football coaches (especially sec) seem like douchebags compared to other sports coaches? It's not football either, I can't think of that many nfl coaches that would make my list.

caugt about 5-10 minutes of whatever sports show in on 700 at 7:30. They were having a field day ripping Tuberville and SucKS a new one. Apparently the story is that Tuberville doesn't want any of Butch's recruites, but instead of having the decency to call them last month and say they were no longer wanted, UC and Tuberville are just hoping theyu go away. They aren't telling them they are no longer wanted unless the recuit calls the school, only to be told "You may want to start looking elsewhere"

Some schools, like Massilon, have said that SucKS is not welcome anywhere NEAR their schools.

The bleeding heart part is that they were talking about recruits who verbaled in July, so have cut communication with all the other schools they may have been in contact with, who have now recruited other people, so they are crying they are screwed out of playing college football.

So they just 'fixed the glitch'?

What I find interesting is the schools these former commits are now committing to (New Mexico, Bowling Green, App. State). The general consensus around UC folk is that Butch just didn't recruit very good players this year and had a lot of reaches and Tuberville wants better players. And as for not calling players that is BS. Every single player was called by the incoming coaching staff within 10 days. The problem was they were all told "we are evaluating your position and are looking to bring in X number of players and will let you know where you stand." Not exactly reassuring.

On a side note, what kind of parent/kid would wait over a month like the last claim before getting in contact with the new coaching staff. If my son/daughter was committed to a school with a coaching change we would be in contact the next day to see where we stand. That's partly their own fault if they really did wait that long.

Its the fault of both sides. I thought Jones was getting higher rated recruits than his predecessors. BTW I heard Tuberville on with Mo last Friday and came away unimpressed. Maybe just not a good interview type of guy like Jones and Kelly were.

The departure of Kerry Combs from UC impacted recruiting more than what UC could have anticipated. Combs was really able to connect with recruits while others were not so fortunate.

Also, the main reason the now shunned recruits are now unable to attract much attention from other name programs is most other schools already have their allocated scholarships especially at QB or other skilled positions. The Massillon QB is simply stuck with no place to go at this late date-- which is the groundwork to question the lack of communication.

But this deal works in both directions. If Coach Jones had offered the recruit a scholarship to TN, UC is left hanging. Recall the outrage on this Board when Coach Miller leaves for AZ and Parrom et al followed.
