I'm not with Pres Obama or Congress on this one. In fact I think it's bullshit. Any constitutional lawyers out there have an opinion on whether it's constitutional?

I think and hope that the first American citizen detained under NDAA2013 gets the best damn lawyer this country has to offer and he or she takes this case right back to D.C. where, hopefully, the Supreme Court justices have the conscience to do the right thing and declare this law as unconstitutional as they come. This is a fear based law, and by signing it, the President just gave in to the terrorists. We're changing who we are. We're changing our identity so that we're just like those countries which detain their citizens without trial for days, months and years. We're taking away civil liberties, and this law takes away a very deep and iconic right that was, for a time, unique to our nation. What's next?
Once again, I'm not surprised by the pitiful showing on Capitol Hill or the White House, but I am disappointed. How all these people, republicans and democrats, got reelected is beyond me.
