Congrats on another win, saw some real effort in the 62-52 win. Lots of hustle, good defense, interesting that in the first half X was only whistled for 1 foul, and only 8 for the game. Perhaps that has something to do with the quality of the UNCW team, nothing great from them this season, 1 win on the season and a 1 point loss to Wake Forest (50 point defeat to Liberty).
X only shot 34%, and 4-20 from 3. and 12-21 from the line.
That was the bad news. Good news was on the boards, out rebounded UNCW 53-34. a 14-9 assist to turnover ratio good too.
Wanninger 14 pts, Crouch a double double with 11 and 11, and Pachko had a dozen,
Watching late in the 2nd half was rough though, they had a huge lead, 20 points with 3 and a half minutes to go, and 19 points with under 3 minutes, but seemed to quit. Not sure if they were gassed or just enjoying the win, it was just a very very sloppy ending.
Glad to see they got a win in the final home game of the month, tough run coming up, starts at Indiana on Friday.

I was unable to make this one, and the score seemed a little close at first, but I do see that UNCW scored the last 10 points of the game. It was good to see the fouls come out in our favor after it was 20-11 against vs. Wright St. I don't know if I've seen 1 foul in a half before- the officials must have had a Christmas party to get to. Of the nine turnovers, eight were steals by UNCW, so only one "unforced error."

Also, I like how Ashley Wanninger has improved this year, particularly on offense. She nearly has as many 3's this year (22-57, 38%) as she did all of last year (24-114, 21%), something this team sorely needed.

Let's see if we can pick up some nice road wins at Indiana and in Virginia to get us some momentum going into conference play.
