Averaging 18 pts, 6 brds and 3 assists per game. Had 29 in a loss Saturday to Missouri. Now Appalachian St. Blows but good to see him doing well. He had some talent but just didn't work out at Xavier.

He's filled out the frame a little more. It looks like he stays down on the blocks most of the time.

Based on what I saw, I didn't think he had the talent to play at X. He didn't shoot or dribble well enough to play a wing. But based on his stats so far, I'm wondering if I was wrong. On the other hand, I think the staff told him when the season was over that he likely wouldn't play much at X.

P.S. I just read DC's post. If he's playing low post at 6'4", that tells me it was the right move to leave X.

I liked Cantys defense and his attitude. Not a thug - a tough guy on the court.

Yeah he is shooting like 4 threes a game but only shoots 20%. Is shooting 81% from the line and 43% from the field. I don't think he is posting guys up but is more of a slasher. He is getting to the line 6 times per game.

If I have it correct, he is a poor man's CJ Anderson. He is much much thicker than he was while at Xavier.

Then I would say he's at the right school.

Yeah but who would you rather have, Miller or Mack?

Good article on Canty. I had no idea his mother was ill. http://www.journalnow.com/sports/asu/basketball/article_b7dc84c4-5b97-11e2-a304-0019bb30f31a.html
