University of Dayton students on a chartered bus trip are accused of disorderly conduct at a gas station in Madison County over the weekend.

According to an incident report prepared by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 80 students on two yellow school buses were interviewed by deputies Saturday evening after they were seen by witnesses and deputies running through the service station, urinating on the floor, breaking items and standing on parked cars. All the students were reportedly intoxicated.

Lt. John Swaney said no charges had been filed as of Tuesday evening, but all involved were informed that they may be summoned by prosecutors on charges of disorderly conduct by public intoxication and/or alcohol offenses involving underage persons.

Of the 80 male and female students identified in the report, at least 33 were under the age of 21. Some individual’s ages were not listed.

Four male students identified themselves as responsible for the group to deputies. According to Swaney, they reimbursed the business, the Lake Side Plaza Marathon station, for some items that were damaged including several broken wine bottles.

Teri Rizvi, UD spokeswoman, said the university is reviewing and investigating the incident that may have involved members of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

“Based on the initial report, the behaviors described are unacceptable, in violation of the student code of conduct, and will be dealt with swiftly,” she said.

The report states that the group was on their way from Columbus to Dayton when they stopped at the station, 3180 Old Columbus Rd. in London. It is located adjacent to the Choctaw Lake residential area and several callers alerted deputies to unruly activity taking place there around 5:25 p.m. The manager then informed deputies that she needed them to respond in reference to a physical altercation inside the store.

The sheriff’s office received two other calls about, “subjects standing outside of Lake Side Plaza showing genitals to passing vehicles,” the report states.

The responding deputy said he observed, “Countless subjects running in and out of the business, subjects standing on parked vehicles within the parking lot, and several subjects yelling obscenities at other customers within the business,” as well as five subjects attempting to climb up on top of fuel pumps.

The manager reported that she, “caught several subjects urinating outside and inside of the business on the floors and walls, and subjects flashing their genitals at other customers.”

“The male and female restrooms had urine all over the walls and floor, used condoms in the sink, and urine all over non-used toilet paper,” the report states. Glass bottles were also broken on the floor and open containers of alcohol were found inside the beer cooler.

A member who answered the door at the Sigma Chi fraternity house on campus Tuesday said he couldn’t comment. Employees at the gas station also declined to comment on the incident.

That's horrible. Drunk or not, you have to be a real a-hole to do stuff like that to others' property.

Many fraternities have a long history of exposing their genitals to other people. I guess Sigma Chi is among them. The only thing I can figure is that people who have an unexplained urge to flash their dicks around and piss everywhere but in the toilet all decide to join a frat like Sigma Chi so they can be around like minded dumbasses. Some doctors really need to look into this.

I work at a university, and although I don't work directly with student-affairs, I still work in the same neighborhood that they do. Seriously, it seems as though whenever their is an incident of some guy in college who was exposing himself, there is a 95% chance that he's in a fraternity.

Exactly. I never understood the fascination with peeing on stuff. I've also never had the urge to show my package to random people.

I realize this isn't a UD specific problem, but these kids happen to go to UD.

Actually, I like to think that it is a UD specific problem.

Sounds more like lack of bladder control. That's what you get for taking "yellow buses" (no intended connection between color of the buses and urine). Bottom line: total all around stupidity.

I remember a similar scene at the Flying J gas station outside of Columbus.

Peeing on stuff is awesome.

Thank god X is immune to this problem since there aren't fraternities. You can tell by the way all those non-frat guys keep the bathrooms spotless at Dana's. You can lick the seats there.

I will admit some of my fellow Greeks can be quite thorough in their celebrations of being able to operate a zipper while drunk that a few items get wet from urine as collateral damage.

I have worked as a volunteer for my fraternity's national office as liaison to chapters in Indiana for seven years now and can attest to the growing problem of Greeks becoming more out of hand.

When I was an undergrad did I cause trouble. Yes. Did I piss in alleys, on fences, or houses in my path, maybe. We never blatantly did something like this, drunk or sober.

I've noticed a big change in the past four years if how students perceive what is proper public behavior.

It's not just the Greek system, it's the jersey shore generation.

When did they start selling watermelons at rest stops?

Well then, we are like the Roman Empire late in their 4th quarter.

Probably. There are other cultures hungry to have our power and influence. We're fighting back with a bunch of morbidly obese morons who watch the Jersey Shore and Real Housewives. The end is nigh.

This isn't nearly as bad as what Miami students were doing at the Freedom Center downtown a few years back.

UD students should, however, be commended for practicing safe sex with the watermelons.

UD spokeperson indicated several students were expelled for violations of student policy and it was later learned that these students transferred to Maryland and can play immediately.

You almost had me until the Maryland barb. I thought "man, UD justice acts swiftly". It is also true that the type of behavior described is that which i would usually associate with Miami (OH).

Nuts is that why Kahns hasn't offered any more bus tours?

Too much info! I'm already deeply afraid that flashmobs will pillage and rape me in the streets and malls, that the dollar is falling, that Obama is going to take my guns, and that illegals will ruin the nation and the economy.

Now I cant even stop to relieve my aching bladder on road trips.

It is actually nearly identical. The difference is the venue. Frankly, I have more use in my world for a highway rest stop than a public money waste like the Freedom Center, so I find the UD actions worse.

The fraternity has been under a temporary suspension since November while the university conducted its investigation. The two-year suspension was handed down following a hearing last week

So essentially, nothing happened. Since the fraternity was already suspended, a longer suspension isn't likely to prevent it from happening again since it didn't work the first time.

Chalk this up as a win for the fraternity.

Yes using "ud" and "ghetto" in the same sentencet is quite redundant.
