Wake lost to Iona on Saturday 94-68. The result almost looks respectable when you consider that at one point they trailed 41-5. That Bzdelik hire continues to pay dividends for them.

Purdon't blew a late lead against a pretty unimpressive Villanova squad, and then got waxed by the President's bro-in-law to fall to 1-3.

Vanderbilt went to Oregon and fell just short....74-48.

In Tennessee's first real challenge, they got whipped by Oklahoma State. We'll know more about them after they play UMess today.

This year's non-conference schedule is looking like it's going to be pretty manageable.

I agree and think Xavier will win at least 20 games, probably a few more than that.

At least when I saw Wake against X two years ago, they are one of the worst coached teams in the country. They run no offense, other than throw a few passes on the perimeter and then someone jacks up a three or goes one on one. And they play no defense.

I realize they have 7 freshman, but 41-5 to Iona? Bzdelik should be gone at the end of the year, if he makes it that far. I never liked Gaudio's style of play, but I can't believe the AD fired Gaudio for this guy.
